Lovely mature Black Rat Snake (Pantherophis alleghaniensis) behind the cabin today. About 5ft long...I resisted my instinct to catch it and play with it for a bit (it's a cat thing)...and settled for a photo. He was basking on the warm rock, or perhaps startled into stillness by my sudden presence. At any rate, I'm grateful for his return. They are great at keeping the rodent population under control. I suspect he's digesting a few at the time of this shot.

Brimstone was in fact Pat’s mother’s home, Pat was born and raised in this home. Her former bedroom is the closet and dressing area in the new primary bedroom.
Pat’s mother established Brimstone’s blend of mid-century modern and Victorian. I’ve honored that as best I could adding MCM light fixtures and keeping teal as Brimstone’s interior pop color.
We love opening both houses to this family (sorry about this coming weekend guys). Those that were raised in this home, their children and grandchildren will know this home as long as we own it because of Skip and Pat, our Stamford family.
