前回のポストでタイイングスイッチが入ってしまい、10本ほど縛りました。姿勢や安定性、ウィングの角度、バランス、反り具合などなど、あれこれ考えていたらこんな感じに自己深化しました。
実弾補充ではなく、妄想しながらのタイイングは楽しいです 笑

The "Catskill," a century-old Rube Cross pattern with a generic name. Among other things, Cross was known for his meticulous tying. The fall colors with the wood duck wings did it for me.

This timeless fly is featured in The Dettes, a Catskill Legend by Eric Leiser. Here’s the recipe if you want to gather your materials ahead of time:

Hook: Standard dry, sizes 10 to 16
Tail: Grizzly hackle fibers
Wing: Rounded grizzly hackle tips (or hen grizzly tips)
Body: Medium olive wool, palmered with grizzly hackle, slightly shorter than a true size 12 (olive dubbing fur is a fine substitute)
Hackle: Grizzly and brown mixed
