My friend Greg sierranets out did himself with this Carolina cherry burl magnetic hook cup and matching bodkin. In addition to his incredibly beautiful and functional nets, from time to time Greg makes these hook cups that are absolutely beautiful!

The "Catskill," a century-old Rube Cross pattern with a generic name. Among other things, Cross was known for his meticulous tying. The fall colors with the wood duck wings did it for me.

Yesterday, despite the cold and snow, we were thrilled to host Phil Street at the museum as our guest tyer! Phil shared his expertise by tying a selection of stunning dry fly patterns from Ray Bergman’s classic Trout.
Here’s what he crafted:

🎣 Light Cahill Translucent – A delicate beauty with silk and gold Swiss straw.
🎣 Campbell’s Fancy – Highlighted by French metal tinsel and golden pheasant crest.
🎣 Iron Blue Dun – A timeless design with a red silk tag and mallard slip wing.
